Many Fur Seals lived in the cold waters in and around Walvis Bay. They sometimes liked to rest out of the water on anchored boats, like this local boat. Catamarans with steps on the back were very popular with seals. This habit was encouraged by tour boat operators who wanted seals aboard. We had only one on "Arctracer" and that was while we were leaving the harbor.
