The Walvis Bay Lighthouse sits near the end of the long sandspit which protects the harbor from most ocean waves. Beside it is a hotel which does not allow day visitors. We heard it only had room for twelve people, each paying 650 Euros per night. It must be noisy when the fog rolls in and the foghorn starts blaring.
