Grey Go-away-bird (Corythaixoides concolor), also known as Grey Lourie, in Kruger National Park. It gets its name from its loud alarm call, a harsh "kay-waaay," which warns other birds of an intruder. It eats fruit, flowers, buds, leaves, termites and snails. It is a clumsy flier but a very agile scrambler among treetop branches. |
