We went ashore on Loh Island to two of the three villages a few times, but usually the villagers (especially children as we gave them each a notebook and pencil if they came to the boat and signed their name) visited "Arctracer." If we had many visitors at the same time then Jerry rowed ashore to get David Andrew who would then bring the others out to the boat. At the best anchorage for us there were no local boats and it was a long way to paddle from the village anchorages.
