Jan is the owner and chef of the "Banana Resort." Although this was her first season we felt she did a superb job. Her food was always delicious. We were amazed at her willingness to go as far as necessary to satisfy our requests for special dishes. Several times we asked for things she didn't have and she immediately sent her worker several kilometers to the store to buy some for us. This is in contrast to the usual response ("Sorry, no have") at other restaurants. Thomas was an Austrian guest at the resort who had been traveling for several years. They came aboard for Nina's pizza one afternoon and stayed for several enjoyable hours of conversation.
