James and his four-year-old son Crofty were the first aboard when we stopped at Nukufero Village in the Russell Islands. This village was entirely Tikopian when it was established, and even though it is now a bit mixed with people from other islands they still speak Tikopian and consider themselves part of the Tikopian clan system.
