Mountain Zebra can be distinguished from Plains Zebra by their stripes. Plains Zebra have distinct brown stripes between black stripes on predominately white coats. Mountain Zebra stripes are all black on coats which show some brown between stripes and they have more pronounced black stripes on their legs.
