Trekker Marie Claude from France donated notebooks which Harri distributed to these and other children on our route. Some were also donated to the monastery school where we spent the second night. The children were very happy with these gifts. They also eagerly took our empty water bottles to use themselves or recycle for a small amount of money. Harri has worked for years to improve the lives of the hill tribe people, and spoke some of their languages.
