We took 2 duffle bags of school supplies to Burma and started giving them away in Myitkyina which gets few tourists. Nimra has worked at the YMCA in Myitkyina for 10 years. When she said she had a 12-year old son, a 7-year old daughter and a 2-year old daughter we gave her a book of English Practice Papers. She said she would put them in the library so others could use them too. We also gave her notebooks, pencil sets, pens, crayons, an ABC coloring book, a learn to write the ABC's book and 2 "Key Word" reading books. Yaku also worked at the YMCA. He was learning English so we gave him a 3,000-word book of short stories so he could practice reading.
