News at the YMCA traveled fast. After giving away our first school supplies, this woman, Akai, said that she had an 11-year-old daughter Rai Rai (posing with her mother here) and an 8-year-old daughter Sut Seng Ing. She wondered if we had more school supplies, so we gave each of the girls a pencil set, a notebook, and a pen. We also gave them a book about vegetables and a coloring book. Akai rides her bicycle about 2 miles each day to work at the YMCA. She was about to give Rai Rai a lift on her bike after dark to get back home in the evening.
