Kumaresan Karthigesu is a Malaysian expert on the sitar, a classical Indian instrument. We heard him perform both in workshops and as part of "Akasha" on the big stage. His versatility was displayed in improvisation, classical and modern Indian music, and even a twelve-bar blues.
