We often had to admire the knowledge and courage displayed by our boat drivers as they maneuvered their long boats filled with passengers through dangerous rapids and rocks. Rocks beneath the water surface are invisible in the muddy water, so the drivers have to remember and accurately judge the dangers as the waters rise and fall as much as 40 feet with the seasons.
