Tekenteiti (pronounced "tay-ken-tase") and many others in Kuma are Pentacostal Church members. The village elders forbid alcohol and do not permit visits to yachts after dark. However, one day Tekenteiti came to visit us full of "sour toddy" (fermented coconut sap). On our first visit to the village our dinghy anchor disappeared, but it was "found" and returned just before we left. We didn't entirely trust these villagers.
