We saw three Bat-eared Foxes hunting among the flowers of the West Coast National Park. These are relatives of other foxes but in addition to their large ears they have unusually small teeth. Their food is about 80 percent insects (termites, locusts, and insects found on antelope droppings) though they sometimes also eat rodents, birds, eggs and fruit.
