Every day we stopped for a picnic lunch at one of the park sites, such as this Afsaal Picnic Area. It was too dangerous to get out of the car except at a few specially protected or designated places. Most campgrounds had a "Day Visitor" area with covered tables, electricity, braais (barbecues), water and toilets.
