A blanket was an important article of clothing for most people we saw in Lesotho. The ancestors of these people defeated the powerful Zulus and also fought Boers and British. They have an independent country today but it is beset by many problems. Approximately 40 percent of the population makes less than $1.25 per day and are classified as impoverished by the United Nations. |
