Woolly-necked Stork (Ciconia episcopus) in Richards Bay. The Woolly-necked stork is able to forage in the dark because of enhanced night vision. It hunts for small reptiles such as lizards, geckos and bush snakes. The Woolly-necked Stork strikes poisonous snakes on the head with one blow which kills instantly. It also eats insects such as butterflies, bees, wasps, locusts and ants.
