African Sacred Ibis (Threskiornis aethiopicus) in Knysna Lagoon. This bird is indigenous to Africa south of the Sahara and southeastern Iraq. It has been introduced into southern Europe and Florida where it is considered a problem. It will eat virtually anything that moves including insects, worms, crayfish, mollusks, fish, nestlings, amphibians, and rodents.
