Swainson's Spurfowl (Pternistis swainsonii) in Kruger National Park. Spurs on its legs are clearly visible in this photograph. Spurfowl females lay eggs all year and incubate them for about three weeks. Chicks start flying two weeks after hatching and are near adult size after three months. |
