Secretary Birds (Sagittarius serpentarius) in Kruger National Park. Their name may be due to their crests resembling the quill pens which 19th century clerks stuck in their wigs. The name may also be due to a French corruption of the Arabic saqr-et-tair meaning hunter-bird. These are skilled at hunting snakes and other reptiles.
