Grey Crowned Crane (Balearica regulorum) in a southern Drakensberg field. This has a breeding display involving dancing, bowing and jumping which we would like to see. It grows to 1 meter (3.3 feet) tall and 3.5 kg (7.7 pounds) eating grass seeds, insects and other invertebrates. It is found in Africa south of the Sahara and is the national bird of Uganda.
