Here is our steering wheel and helm seat. One of us is sitting here on watch almost all the time when the boat is moving. There are instruments to tell us where we are (GPS/chartplotter/AIS), our direction (compass), the wind speed and direction, and the water depth. On the right is the autopilot control which handles much of the actual steering on long passages. There are also controls for both engines.
