Our boat has fixed propeller shafts which are always in the water. To protect them from damage in shallow water and to permit safe beaching of the boat, there are "skegs" which stick down from the hulls in front of the propellers. While these are strong enough to support the boat on land they are not large enough to be called "keels." Even with these skegs the boat has a draft of only 3 feet. The rudders stick down about 5 feet, but can be "kicked-up" to less than 3 feet when in shallow water. In the upper right of this photo is the "ground" plate for our SSB radio.
