Our Lonely Planet guidebook said blue-nosed (Chamaleleo boettgeri) chameleons were fairly common on Mt Ambre in Madagascar. However, this seemed to us to be a member of the endemic Madagascar genus Calumma. Whatever the scientific classification we loved its grumpy old man expression. (photo by "Ambler.")
