Chief Nelson wanted to create a Yacht Club at his anchorage. He had ambitious plans to construct a building on the shore where cruisers could congregate for food and entertainment. All he could do at the time we were there was allow us to join his club. We may not be charter members but must have been among the first to sign up. The fee was modest and we hope it helped him create something good for his village.
