Kandy had a small lake practically in the center of the city. This fountain seldom operated and we were lucky to get this photo. In the background is the Temple of the Sacred Tooth where the tooth was kept under the gilded roof. The building with columns on the lake shore was once the Royal Bathhouse but had been turned into a police station.
