Kandy has very famous traditional forms of dance which developed when Kandy was the national capital. We attended an evening performance at the Kandyan Art Association and Cultural Center. Both men and women dancers performed examples of different types of dances. They were accompanied by drums and sometimes by voice and other instruments.
