"Meridian" lost its mast near Sri Lanka in 2010 and was tied to the dock in Galle while a new one was made locally. Phil and Helen from Australia were determined to solve all the problems of re-rigging to go cruising again. The damage to their boat was increased because it was allowed to bash the dock in a storm while they were back in Australia. Their difficulties were many in this port where officials often seemed to be part of the problem. These wonderfully friendly cruisers let us tie our dinghy to their boat and use it as a dock for getting ashore.
