The North Wall runs across the landward end of the peninsula and is designed to protect against assults by land forces. The main gate of the fort is on this side too. In the background is the modern artificial harbour, built on the east side of the natural harbour. Yacht masts are visible in the distance. "Arctracer" was moored in the northeastern corner of the protected harbour.
