This is John, son of Ariki Tafua, who will take his father's position as chief number 2 when his father dies. Here he is dancing with the traditional "Te Ako" group which takes its direction from Ariki Kafika. Our hosts were afraid we would be bored by the traditional songs and dances, but we enjoyed them very much.
