This village is located on the southeast side of the island, between the ocean and the lagoon. It was completely destroyed by Cyclone Zoe at the end of 2002, but rebuilt in the same place. The roofs are thatched with sago palm leaves, but because the island doesn't have many of these trees some roofs still have tarps. The eves are low and the roofs are weighted with stones and logs because of frequent strong winds.
