Laurence is the first son of John who is the first son of Ariki Tafua. The chieftainship is hereditary, so one day Lawrence will be Ariki Tafua, the number 2 chief of Tikopia. Our friends Jerry and Helen of "Pegasus III" gave us money to buy gifts for Lawrence and others on this island they visited twice and consider very special.
