Zacherie's wife Delphine went on the tour around Ouvea Island with us. During a lunch break by the sea, she showed Nina how to weave coconut fronds to make a basket. These are free, quickly made, completely biodegradeable, and used throughout the Pacific. Now free plastic bags, given away with purchases at stores, are discarded on sea and land like these baskets.
