On 27 October, 2000, as we were having lunch in Noumea we noticed the newspaper "Les Nouvelles Caledoniennes." We were on the front page in a photo of the audience at the Opening Ceremony of the 2000 Pacific Arts Festival. The impatient crowd was making "waves" while waiting for the ceremony to begin.
