The khomok is an instrument which we had never heard before, but the performances of this musician, Kartick Chandra Nandy Baul from India, were wonderful. The khomok has two strings stretched from a drum-like base by one hand while being plucked with the other. The resulting sounds are unusual and amazing. We heard him solo, with other instruments in workshops, and with his group "Oikyotaan" on the big stage.
