Akasha was a new Malaysian group whose performance was the highlight of the first evening of the RWMF. The drummers were able to "voice" their rhythms as well as perform brilliantly with their hands. The sitar player showed his versatility by playing the blues. The lead guitarist was dynamic and they also had a fine piano player. We would have purchased their CD but the group was too new to have made one. They have released a couple of albums since then. (Their site is http://akashamalaysia.com)
