This is the primary ferry which ran between Katsepe and Majunga. There was no dock on either end so loading was on the Katsepe beach and at a concrete ramp in Majunga. This ferry could accommodate only two cars, and all trucks were carried on larger ferries which were not regularly scheduled. The ferry left Katsepe every morning about 9:00 but did not always return in the afternoon. The fare for a passenger was 2500 Ar.
