There are several small stores like this in Joffreville filled with consumables such as bottled water, baguettes, cigarettes, plastic dishpans, cooking oil and telephone top-up cards. It is difficult to tell what might be inside one of these stores. Most of the time we had to ask the proprietor if something we needed was available. This store had many oil lamps, made by welding a wick-holder onto a used tin can.
