Chez Vanina is the guesthouse to which we were taken by Eugene Goulam, the tour guide and owner of Goulam Lodge at Ankarana. This is in Joffreville, four kilometers of rough road below the entrance to Parc National d'Ambre. If we go to Mt. Ambre again we will try to stay inside the park at its Gite d'Etape building and campsite where accommodations are less expensive and more convenient for seeing wildlife though probably not as comfortable.
