This Sitting Buddha is just one of Wat Si Saket's enormous number of images. This common meditating pose has the fingers of the right hand pointing down, "calling the Earth for assistance." Our guidebook said there were 6840 Buddhas here, many in the small niches which riddle the interior walls.
