As we finished our Christmas Dinner, Moone and her three younger sisters sang a few carols in their own language. They served salt fish, rice, corned beef, boiled babai, "te bekei" (mashed babai with coconut cream), pudding (a sort of pan bread), and sweetened powdered milk. Marli supplied a chocolate cake, Brazilian coconut and sugar cakes, and chocolates. William provided hard candies, and Nina made a pineapple upside-down cake. A memorable feast!
