This is a Proboscis Monkey eating leaves near the river. These shy monkeys only live in the swampy mangrove forests of Borneo and are declining in numbers as their habitat disappears. Local people call them "Dutchmen" because they resemble the sunburned Europeans who colonized Indonesia.
