We were in Hao on July 14, "Bastille Day" for the French who this year celebrated winning the World Cup. The locals had a multi-day festival at the same time, but certainly wouldn't celebrate with their French colonizers. We saw some of the local dancing, and Titua gave Nina this headpiece plaited of coconut leaves.
