Alice and Hildegard are sisters. Alice's friend Patric works on a pearl farm, and gave Nina a lovely black pearl. Nina was very touched by this wonderful present, and tried to reciprocate by sending presents back from Tahiti. She had a nice ring custom-made in New Zealand with this pearl.
