Tyrrel Bay had a nice sandy beach sheltered from waves driven by easterly trade winds. Several restaurants and a couple of dive shops were scattered between the ferry dock (seen in this photo) and the shipyard (far behind the photographer.) Most shops were located in the village (up the beach towards the ferry dock.)
