Dinghies can go from the anchorage through this narrow pass into a completely protected "pond" to visit the town. The supermarket has a dinghy dock on the pond near this entrance so provisioning is easy. Tidal currents run swiftly in and out so we try to get there at slack water. The pass is so narrow that our oars can hit both sides. It is very important to check for fast dinghies coming the other way.
