Leaving the Cape of Good Hope we drove up the western side of the Cape Peninsula to Hout Bay. This included a spectacular stretch named "Chapman's Peak Drive" which slices along cliffs high above the ocean. The views were breathtaking, though driving along this narrow, twisting road with no shoulders was somewhat nerve-wracking. Bicyclists used this road too, which made driving even more challenging. We were very glad to have the experience - once.
