East London harbor ends at these bridges and only very small boats can proceed further up the Buffalo River. Latimer's Landing is on the starboard side just before the bridges but the old wooden dock there is now condemned and cannot be used. The Water Police office on the starboard side just before the bridge is where we filled out our required "flight plan" before leaving.
