Sani Pass is practically the only way to climb the southern Drakensberg Mountains from South Africa into Lesotho. Until recently this pass was not suitable for autos, but now four-wheel-drive vehicles can make the trip in good weather. The road is still very dangerous. This is the view down towards a lower portion of the road which snakes along beside a rocky river.
