The Ossining Boat and Canoe Club had a building on the Hudson River in Ossining, New York. This was an extremely low-cost and friendly yacht club which we belonged to for four years. Dues were $100 per year and members also had to work at least 20 hours maintaining the club building and grounds. Each member owned and maintained a mooring which was placed in the Spring and pulled out in the Fall. Maximum boat length was 26 feet and there were both power boats and sailboats. We kept our dinghy at the clubhouse, rowed it to our boat and tied it to our mooring buoy while sailing. "Arctracer" carried our OBCC pennant around the world.
